SUMMARY:New Hampshire Spring Rally Weekend – 2026
DESCRIPTION:Spring Rally Weekend hosted by the NH Soap Box Derby held at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway on the South Entrance Ramp wide lane road \nA two day event\, each with two races per day in all divisions on Saturday May 2 & Sunday May 3\, 2026.  Participants are welcome to either Saturday\, Sunday or both! \n \nNewcomers welcome\, cars available for loan or to rebuild.   \nTime: Check-in closes at 8:00 am\, First heat 9:00 am \nRace Location : New Hampshire Motor Speedway\, 1122 Route 106 North\, Loudon\, NH 03307.  A map for navigating to the track location on the property is found here <map> \nDivisions: Stock (ages 7-13 yrs)\, Super Stock (ages 9-18 yrs.)\, Masters (ages 10-20 yrs) \nRace Format:  Two Double Elimination events in each division on each day.  All heats with a Lane/Timer Swap \nWheel Swap: 0-4-0 progressive on Saturday and 0-4-0 progressive on Sunday \nRace Day Registration Fee: $100 for the weekend \nCar Setup: 2026 All-American Rules / Compliance Inspection / Wheel Swap\, Z-Glass wheels for Stock and Super Stock Divisions\, Unigrip Wheels for Masters Division. \n\nRegistration Details: If you expect to race please contact the  Race Director with child’s name\, age as of the race date\, expected racing division (stock\, super stock\, or masters). Payment (cash or check) can be made at registration time on the morning of the event at the track. \n\nWeather: As with all outdoor events\, they are weather dependent. Be prepared for the day\, it can be a chilly morning then a sunny afternoon.  Bring warm cloths and sunscreen.  The site is open\, without protection\, it can get windy\, too.  Check the weather before you come! \n\nA paper version of the AASBD Rally Registration Form and Waiver will also be necessary when checking in on race day. This can be filled out in advance and email to newhampshire@soapboxderby.org.  If the AASBD rally registration form and/or Parental Code of Conduct form are not sent to us in advance they will have to be filled out at registration at the track. \n>>>Minor Waiver Form for NHMS:  Although we are not a motorsport\, The NH Motor Speedway has been enforcing the parental consent form\, when both parents are not present at the event. Be prepared with this form as follows: \n\nThe track office said the printout has to be in color\nTo keep the form on file for a year\, it has to be notarized\nIf both parents are there on site they can sign at the window attendant as the witness for each event.\nIf only one parent is on site at the window\, they will allow the signature of the second parent in advance\n\nThe form is found here:  Minor Waiver Form for NHMS \n\nLodging: Quality Inn Loudon-Concord\, 2 Staniels Rd. Loudon\, NH 03307\, (603) 225-8399 \nSite Information: Services at the track are limited.  Bring your own food and drink.  Primitive camping is available at the track\, acceptable for RV camping but just a gravel parking lot for tent camping.  No hook ups.  Porta-johns at the site and a bath house back at the main track. There is a small convenient store at the bottom of the track.  A pizza shop and Subway are south on Rt 106\, restaurants are nearby at Rt 9.  Be prepared for the weather!  Bring sunscreen\, warm clothing for cooler mornings and a rain coat just in case.

DESCRIPTION:Car safety inspection and weigh-ins are by appointment beginning at 9:00 am on Saturday\, May 30\, 2026.Please contact Race Director for appointment time. \nInspection Location: Midway Collision\, 155 Route 108\, Somersworth\, NH \nAll derby cars will be inspected per the AASBD inspection sheets by division of the car: \n\nInspection Sheet – Masters\nInspection Sheet – Stock\nInspection Sheet – Super Stock\n\nRacers are encouraged to review the inspection criteria and refer to the car build plans ahead of inspection day. \nThe Race Director will assign you a 2 hour inspection window on inspection day. \nAll cars in the local event must not have been a prior winning local champ car\, as indicated by a hole drilled to the Left of the steering column on the floorboard of the car\, and any obvious stickers from being out in Akron. \nConsult with the Race Director for assistance to correct any issue or with any questions. \nAll cars will be impounded until the New Hampshire Local Championship Race held on Sunday\, May 31\, 2026.

Two racers are assigned a heat to compete in\, with a heat consisting of 2 phases of side-by-side competition. Phase A has the lowest car number racer in lane 1 and higher car number racer in lane 2. A timer system measures the time differential between the two racers for each phase. The combined differential of phase A & B determines the winner of the heat.
